一、课程目的要求:
随着我国对外开放不断深入,社会对人才的英语口语水平要求越来越高。大学英语教学应该以培养学生实际运用语言的能力为目标,突出教学内容的实用性和针对性。目前,流利的英语口语对于大学生来讲是必不可少的。本课程旨在选择体现时代性、实用性和趣味性的主题展开口语教学活动,充分调动学生的表达欲望,以帮助学生掌握英语知识和提高英语听说能力。同时,融入不同文体和文化背景知识,帮助学生用英文来流利地表达自己的观点。在此过程中,学生的语言技能和对英语国家文化的了解也会得到进一步的提升。
二、课程主要内容:
选择贴近生活的文章、视听片段和对话等作为语言素材,以相关主题为切入点,从不同角度提出话题让学生以多种形式进行口语操练,内容涉及经济、文化、教育、风俗、时尚和环境等。总结对话模式和口语技能,介绍不同场合的英语交际功能,使学生能够在新的场景下组织新的对话,能用自然、地道的口语来表达观点。本课程在于改变学生传统的被动记忆、机械训练的学习方式,采用积极主动的自主参与、合作式的学习方式,使他们通过接触与社会和生活密切相关的、真实的语言素材,通过生动活泼的语言实践和交际活动,发挥自己的学习潜能,最终形成有效的学习策略,从而提高英语口语技能。
三、教学方式
以多媒体为辅助工具,采取教师讲解、学生讨论、课堂辩论、演讲报告、对话模仿、角色扮演和影视欣赏等教学方式。

五、考核方式及要求:
课程考核方式:口语活动评分+口语测试
成绩构成:平时成绩30%(出勤率、平时作业、口语活动表现情况等);期末考试70%。

Principals of Advanced Spoken English
Aims of The Course (课程目的)
English is one of the world's most widely used languages. However, many English learners have found it difficult to achieve the language proficiency in spoken English, which hinders the effective communication between individuals in different national contexts. This program is aimed to improve learners’ competence in English speaking and listening by means of general appreciation and further analysis of splendid English articles, movie clips and dialogues. Integrating with raw and natural linguistic material, the program is so expected to help the learners cultivate effective learning strategies and enhance their language speaking skills.

Teaching Methods (教学方式)
It is a course involving individual work, pair work and group discussion. After the well-designed introduction of some vivid dialogues and efficient speaking skills, learners are required to participate in retelling, discussing, presenting, role-playing, imitating and dubbing. They will not only know the primary communication skills, but also take an active part in English speaking learning.
